Epidemiological features of 358 scarlet fever cases in Tainshan district, Urumqi

To understand the epidemiology of scarlet fever in Tianshan district of Urumqi. The epidemic data of scarlet fever in the district were collected to conduct statistical analysis. In 2008, a total of 358 cases of scarlet fever were reported, which was an increase of 247 cases compared with 111 cases in 2007. The incidence was higher than before obviously. It is necessary to strengthen the surveillance of the disease to prevent the further spread and reduce the incidence of scarlet fever.
