Comparative study on omp gene sequences of Brucella ovis 019 strain

Objective To prove the difference between Brucella ovis 019 strain isolated in Xinjiang and reference strain. Methods The Omp31、Omp25、Omp22、Omp2a、Omp2b gene sequences of Brucella ovis 019 strain were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and DNA sequencing. Results There was significant difference in either DNA or amino level between Brucella ovis 019 strain and 63/290 reference strain; Conclusion Brucella ovis 019 strain is an unique local strain in Xinjiang.
