Abstract
Objective To discuss the early detection model of communicable diseases and the application effect.
Methods Training was conducted among clinic and hospital doctor on timely reporting of suspected cases, and the mechanism of expert consultation was established in hospitals for the purpose of conducting acute respiratory disease surveillance.
Results the average interval between medical care seeking and reporting of 3 cases of human avian influenza was 1 days, 8 days delay was avoided compared with that in other provinces where the early detection model was not applied.
Conclusion The training on timely reporting of suspected cases among clinicians and establishing of expert consultation mechanism in hospitals are essential for the early detection of communicable disease.
