Abstract
Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of injury in Huzhou and provide scientific evidence for injury prevention and control. Methods The sentinel surveillance data of injury in the First Peoples Hospital of Huzhou were analyzed. Results The incidence of injury in males was higher than that in females, the case number in age group 41-50 years was highest, accounting for 22.2% of the total. Manual workers were the population affected mostly by injury. Falling down was the major cause of injury; followed by traffic accident. Most injuries were mild or moderate, the case fatality was low. Conclusion The incidence pattern of injury was obvious, it is necessary to conduct targeted intervention to prevent and control the incidence of injury.
