Abstract
Objective To understand the death pattern of malignant tumor in the residents in Fangshan, Beijing and provide scientific evidence for prevention and control of malignant tumor. Methods According to ICD, the statistical analysis was conducted on the data of malignant tumor death in Fangshan from 1976 to 2011 collected by Fangshan CDC. Results The average annual death rate of malignant tumor was 80.55/lakh in Fangshan from 1976-2011, which was in increase. Removal of demographic factors, the death rate of malignant tumor began to increase slowly in 1976, peaked during 1994-2006 and began to decline in 2007. The death rate of malignant tumor increased with the age. From 1970s to 1990s, the death mainly occurred in younger group, and in 2000s the death mainly occurred in older group. Population aging is the main factor related with the rise of the death rate of malignant tumor. The death rate of malignant tumor in males was higher than that in females. The death caused by lung cancer and hepatitis cancer accounted for the largest proportion and was in increase,obviously. Conclusion Malignant tumor has become one of the leading death causes in the residents in Fangshan. The incidence of malignant tumor in people aged 50 years is high. Lung cancer and liver cancer are the priority diseases in prevention and control.
