Progress in research of Vibrio fluvialis

Vibrio fluvialis is considered to be an emerging foodborne pathogen and has become a high human public health hazard all over the world, especially in coastal areas of developing countries and regions with poor sanitation. After the study for three decades, people have already understood this pathogen and its pathogenesis and related infection epidemiology at certain degree. This paper summaries the progress in the research of the discovery, etiological characteristics and epidemiological characteristics, as well as pathogenesis and infections clinical manifestation of V. fluvialis.
