Survey of the first case of vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis in Jiangshan, Zhejiang

The first case of vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis (VAPP) causing by oral live attenuated polio vaccine was reported in Jiangshan in April 2013. After epidemiological survey and analysis, it is suggested for medical staff conducting vaccination at all levels to fully recognize their responsibility and standardize the vaccination procedure to reduce the incidence of VAPP.
