Abstract
Objective To understand the HIV infection status and related risk factors in men who have sex with men (MSM) in Jinan, Shandong province and provide evidence for the HIV/AIDS prevention and control in MSM. Methods Questionnaire survey and HIV and syphilis antibodies tests were conducted among 300 MSM visiting the clinic of voluntary counsel and test for HIV in Jinan CDC from November 2012 to. March 2013. The data were entered with EpiData software and the logistic regression analysis was conducted with SPSS17.0 software. Results Thirty one HIV positive MSM were detected (10.33%). Multivariate analysis indicated that the HIV infection risk factors included the first sex at age Conclusion HIV infection in MSM increased in recent years and homosexual contact has become the most common HIV transmission route in Jinan. It is important for the AIDS prevention and control to persuade MSM to reduce sex partners and use condom in each sex.
