Abstract
Objective To analyze of routine test and bacterial culture Results of peritoneal fluid from 65 patients receiving peritoneal dialysis. Methods Two peritoneal dialysis fluid samples were collected, one was for routine analysis, including nucleated cell counts and sediment cell classification, another one was for bacteria culture. Results Among the 65 patients, 37 had peritoneal dialysis related peritonitis (56.9%). The bacterial positive rate was 62.2% in 45 samples for bacteria culture. The pathogens were mainly coagulase negative staphylococci (20.0%), followed by Streptococcus (17.8%) and gram negative bacilli (15.6%); In 35 peritonitis patients, 8 had refractory peritonitis and 2 had changed peritoneal dialysis fluid in nature, whose prognosis was worse than other patients (P0.05). Conclusion Peritoneal dialysis related peritonitis is the most common serious complication caused by peritoneal dialysis, the bacterial infection is the major form, so analyze in combination with the cytology and aetiology of peritoneal dialysis fluid, can understand the situation and changes of dialysis and do better clinical services.
