Abstract
Objective To understand the problems existing in network reporting of communicable diseases in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, and provide evidence for further standardizing the management of communicable disease reporting. Methods The survey of underreporting of communicable disease and diagnosis accordance level was conducted according to the National protocol of communicable disease underreporting survey and National health specification. Results The underreporting rate of communicable diseases was 2.85% in Quzhou during January-June 2013, which was significant higher than national level. The diagnosis accordance level was not high. The diagnosis accordance rate of syphilis, gonorrhea, and hepatitis B was 84.56%, 85.63% and 71.74% respectively. The disease reporting information system in local medical institutions was not perfect, related human resources were lacking and the professional level of staff engaged in disease prevention and control should to be improved. Conclusion Many problems existed in network communicable disease in medical institutions in Quzhou. It is necessary for CDC to strengthen the technical guidance and staff training to improve the communicable disease reporting in Quzhou.
