Quality of network direct reporting of health hazards in Baiyin, Gansu,2009-2013

Objective To evaluate the quality of network direct reporting of health hazards in Baiyin,Gansu province,during 2009-2013 for the improvement of network direct reporting of occupational disease. Methods The coverage rates of reporting network, medical institution and disease specific reporting rates, timely reporting rates, timely verifying rates and qualified rates in all counties (district) were calculated. 2 test was used for the data comparison and analysis. Results A total of 770 reporting cards of health hazards were analyzed. The reporting rate of medical institutions was 46.46%(2=29.200,P 0.01)and the average timely reporting rate was 84.16%(648/770)(2=55.670,P 0.01). Except the timely verifying rate of 98.70% in 2009, the timely verifying rates were 100.00% in other years. The qualified rates of all kinds of reporting cards ranged from 92.04% to 100.00%. The differences in qualified rates of the reporting cards of five kinds of diseases were statistical significant (2=21.530,P 0.01); and the qualified rates of reporting cards were statistically significant in five counties (2=61.211,P 0.01). Conclusion The total number of reporting cards of health hazards was 770,which were mainly from general hospitals. Pesticide poisoning was the major health hazard. The number of reporting cards increased with year. The reporting rate in medical institutions and the average timely reporting rate were greatly improved, but the differences in qualified rate were statistical significant.
