Analysis of measles antibody level in healthy population in Inner Mongolia,2013

  • Objective To understand the measles antibody level in healthy population, find high risk population of measles in Inner Mongolia and provide evidence for developing measures of measles elimination. Methods The healthy population was divided into 8 different age groups, and blood samples were taken from them to detect the measles virus specific IgG antibody with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results A total of 751 blood samples were tested, in which 699 were measles IgG positive (93.08%). The age specific differences in antibody positive rate and concentration were significant. Conclusion The measles immunization level in healthy population varied with areas in Inner Mongolia,it is suggested to take targeted measures to improve the basic immunization, strengthen the booster immunization, thus increase the population antibody level.
