Survey of a norovirus caused diarrhea outbreak in an university in Henan

  • Objective An outbreak of infectious diarrhea occurred in an university in Henan province. Then the epidemiological survey and emergency response were conducted, and samples were collected for testing. The outbreak lasted for 27 days, involving 753 cases. The attack rate was 3.39%. Clinical symptoms of the cases mainly included diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and nausea. Norovirus GⅡ was detected in 31 of 98 stool samples(31.63%).
