Abstract
Both diabetes mellitus (DM) and tuberculosis (TB) are serious threats to human health. However, the high co-prevalence of two diseases is found in some low-middle income countries. The link between DM and TB has been gradually recognized now. Furthermore, the joint prevention and control of DM and TB might be another worldwide public health challenge. This paper summarizes the epidemiology of DM and TB and the progress in research of the co-prevalence and joint management of two diseases.
