Abstract
Objective To understand the incidence and prevalence of brucellosis in Zhejiang province and provide evidence for the prevention and control of brucellosis. Methods Descriptive epidemiological analysis and statistical analysis were conducted on the incidence data of brucellosis in Zhejiang obtained from national disease reporting information system.rosebengal plate agglutination test(RBPT) and standard tube agglutination test(SAT) were used for the serological detection in population with occupational Brucella exposure. Results A total of 98 cases of brucellosis were reported in 2015. The incidence of brucellosis was 0.18/100 000. Most brucellosis cases were farmers aged 30-65 years. The male to female ratio of the cases was 2.63:1.Among the 6 815 persons surveyed,160 were Brucella positive,in whom 84 were diagnosed with brucellosis,35 cases were bacteria carriers. The remaining 41 patients or carriers had been diagnosed previously. The average interval between onset and diagnosis was 30 days. Conclusion The incidence of brucellosis was stable in Zhejiang in 2015. It is necessary to strengthen the health education in the public and training in medical workers to prevent and control the incidence and prevalence of brucellosis.
