The first Salmonella changwanni isolation in Yuyao

To study biological and epidemiological characteristics of the first strain of Salmonella changwanni isolated in Yuyao. Systematic biochemical identification, serotype identification and Kirby-Bauer paper diffusion were conducted to identify the strain, and epidemiological survey through sick child medical record review and follow up was conducted. The isolated strain had the phenotypic characteristics of Salmonella changwanni, and it was a single drug resistant strain. It was the first time to detect this serotype of Salmonella in China.
