  • ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis and its weakness of prevention and control in Lyuliangshan area from 2006 to 2018, and to provide suggestions on its prevention and control.
MethodsThe descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the population profile and spatial-temporal characteristics of brucellosis, based on surveillance data.

From 2006 to 2018, a total of 10 556 cases of human brucellosis was reported, mainly distributed in Shenchi, Suide and Zizhou. There were two peaks in 2008 and 2014. It has a distinct seasonal characteristics from 2006 to 2015, and the incidence in spring and summer accounted for 72.89% of total cases. After 2015, the seasonal characteristics decreased, and the incidence in spring and summer accounted for 65.93%. There was an overall upward trend in the population aged 50–80 years, accounting for 58.79% of total reported cases, mainly distributed in males and farmers.
ConclusionThe incidence trend of brucellosis in lyuliangshan areas presents a bimodal change with regional clustering, and the seasonal characteristics are not obvious in recent years, so the change of epidemiological characteristics should be noted.
