Objective To construct framework for the popularization of science on cross-border infectious diseases (CBID), providing theoretical reference and total solutions for CBID science practitioners, improving their work, lifting infectious diseases knowledge literacy among Cross-borderers, minimizing cross-border transmission and importation risk.
Methods The framework construction method: Scoping, data search and analysis, using needs analysis and stakeholder mapping development first draft, discussion and validation then finalize framework.
Results The framework centered on the needs of CBID science popularization, and meets the demand by establishing a global infectious disease surveillance system, evidence-based infectious disease knowledge base, appropriate mechanisms for the generation and dissemination of science materials, applying appropriate science popularization.
Conclusion The establishment of this framework will provide guidance for the implementation in this field, provide a basis for the full cooperation of relevant departments, and provide support for the prevention and control of cross-border infectious diseases.
