An observation on rapid detection of vibrio cholerae in field trials

stool specimens of diarrheal cases using direct rapid test for detection of vibrio cholerae were reported.The results showed that the positive rate of direct rapid test in the acute period cases was higher than routine method(χ2=17.25 P<0.005).Although the specificity of this method was same as the routine,that the sensitivity was higher than the routine one and it has an advantage of simiplicity.
