Changes on gene expression of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA in hepatocyte of rats with sepsis of Vibrio vulnificus

Objective To understand the changes on gene expression of Bcl-2 mRNA and Bax mRNA in hepatocyte of rats with sepsis of Vibrio vulnificus. Method Vibrio vulnificus sepsis rats model (VV groups) was established and Bcl-2 mRNA and Bax mRNA were detected by using RT-PCR. Results The gene of Bcl-2 can be detected in hepatocyte of normal rats. Compared with the NC group, the expression of Bcl-2 in VV groups decreased obviously (P﹤0.05). There was Bax mRNA expression in hepatocyte of normal rats. Compared with the NC group, the expression of Bax mRNA increased obviously in VV groups (P﹤0.05), and the gene expression level remained stable Conclusion This study suggested that the expression of Bax mRNA in hepatocyte of rats reached peak in the early period of VV sepsis, while the expression of Bcl-2 mRNA decreased.
