Survey of a tuberculosis epidemic in a university in Zhoushan city, Zhejiang province

Twelve pulmonary tuberculosis cases were reported (3 smear positive cases,9 smear negative cases) in a university in Zhoushan, of which 9 were newly discovered cases,3 cases were with evidence to be found in retrospective analysis. By the PPD test for 91 close contacts,65 were positive (71.43%),22 were strong positive (24.18%).
