A total of 2085 samples were tested. One strain of Shigella flexneri was detected, the positive rate was 0.05%. The qualified rates of physical and chemical indicators of various source water were all 100.00%; the qualified rate of bacterial indicator of drinking water was all 100.00% in urban area and 65.00% in rural area. Conclusion Intestinal infection epidemic may not occur directly as the result of the water storage of Three Gorges reservoir in Xingshan, but the management of drinking water in rural area should still be strengthened.
