Progress in research of healthy life expectancy calculation and application

Healthy Life Expectancy (HALE) is the most representative and frequently used indicator for the estimation or measurement of disease burden in the world. As more disease data are available and more data collection and calculation methods are used, the domestic and foreign researchers have deepened their research on healthy life expectancy. This paper summarizes the suggested development on the research, calculation methods and influence factors of HALE.
