Results A total of 387 STD cases, including 2 deaths, were reported. The average annual incidence was 60.42/100 000. The incidence of STDs was higher in males than in females. The incidence of STDs showed an upward trend. Among the 387 STD cases, 326 were syphilis cases, accounting for 84.24%, and latent syphilis was predominant, accounting for 57.44%. Conclusion Syphilis, especially latent syphilis, was the major STD among the elderly in Xiangshan, posing serious threat to local old people's health.
